Sailing Forward Together: Our Company’s Annual Cruise Gala Wraps Up Successfully
As the year draws to a close and a new one begins, everything takes on a fresh outlook. To strengthen team cohesion and align on future goals, our company’s annual cruise gala, themed “Sailing Through Challenges, Standing United,” set sail as planned. Colleagues from all departments gathered at Guangzhou Nansha International Cruise Terminal, filled with gratitude for the past year and excitement for the journey ahead, embarking on a joyful sea voyage that highlighted teamwork. This event not only offered a chance to unwind and bond but also reaffirmed the company’s commitment to unity and excellence. With memorable moments throughout, the gala concluded on a high note.
On the evening of January 23, the setting sun bathed Nansha International Cruise Terminal in a warm golden light. Starting at 5:00 PM, colleagues in matching attire arrived one after another at the meeting point near Gate 1 of the departure hall, their faces glowing with anticipation. Following the schedule, everyone checked in, assembled, and completed luggage check-in as a group. The staff’s thorough preparations and smooth guidance ensured a seamless boarding process. At 5:30 PM, the cruise ship sounded its horn and departed, marking the official start of the gala. On the deck, colleagues enjoyed the sea breeze, watched the shoreline fade into the distance, took photos, and shared the excitement of the upcoming trip, filling the ship with laughter.

The core events unfolded on January 24. At 9:00 AM, the Annual Summary Meeting kicked off promptly at the Beautiful Island Salon on Deck 1, with colleagues arriving 20 minutes early to take their seats. The General Manager delivered a keynote speech titled “A Decade of Dedication, A Future United.” He reviewed the company’s landmark achievements over the past year—from robust revenue growth and expanded market share for core products, to successful major project launches and optimized internal management—emphasizing that every win was a team effort. He also analyzed industry trends and challenges, outlining four strategic priorities for the new year: deepening core businesses, exploring emerging sectors, strengthening talent development, and enhancing service quality. He urged the team to face the future with courage and unity.

The highlight of the meeting was the Employee Recognition Ceremony. Twelve colleagues were honored as “Annual Outstanding Employees” after departmental nominations, peer reviews, and management evaluations. Awards for Excellent Team, Outstanding Management, Top Trainer, and Special Contribution followed. Awardees included R&D experts who solved critical technical issues, sales professionals who exceeded targets and won customer trust, and administrative staff who ensured smooth daily operations. Videos showcasing their achievements moved the audience, and company leaders presented certificates and prizes, encouraging everyone to strive for excellence and foster a culture of mutual improvement. The ceremony was met with prolonged applause, reflecting the company’s appreciation for hard work.

Seven colleagues received the “10-Year Long Service Award” for their dedication since the company’s early days or key growth phases. Four of them attended the ceremony, and the General Manager presented custom trophies inscribed with “Grateful for 10 Years of Partnership.” “You’ve witnessed, contributed to, and driven our growth over a decade,” he said. “Your loyalty and commitment are the foundation of our success.” A senior employee representative shared, “I joined with hope, grew with the team, and look forward to building the next decade together. Post-meeting, leisure activities kept the mood high. The company’s exclusive KTV event at the Deck 2 Disco Hall started at 9:00 PM, with colleagues singing classic and popular songs, dancing, and releasing work stress. The next day, a one-day trip to Vietnam offered a taste of local culture, cuisine, and scenery. Colleagues supported each other throughout the trip, deepening trust and teamwork.

January 26 brought more interactive fun. The “Treasure Hunt” covered multiple decks, with teams collaborating to solve clues and claim prizes at Cabin 8223 (coordinated by Xu Haiying). The “Water Name Tag Tear” game at the Deck 9 pool (organized by Li Ying) saw colleagues competing in teams, setting aside titles to enjoy the game and strengthen bonds.

As the cruise returned, the company arranged shuttles back to the office and adjusted the afternoon work start time to 1:30 PM for rest. Lunch was provided for those unable to go home, reflecting the company’s care. The gala’s success was a testament to cross-departmental collaboration and the HR & Admin Team’s meticulous planning. Minor hiccups were met with understanding, highlighting the team’s harmony.

This gala was more than a celebration—it renewed team spirit.
