Bluetooth IoT: Asset Management Tags for Smart Park Security
In smart industrial parks and office campuses, fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, emergency first aid kits and other security equipment are critical safeguards for safe operations. Traditional manual management methods suffer from low efficiency and high error rates, making them unable to meet the digital development needs of modern parks. Bluetooth IoT-based solutions effectively optimize management processes and strengthen park security capabilities.
Difficulties
A large smart industrial park faced multiple core pain points in fire and security asset management. With a vast area and widely dispersed, numerous equipment points, traditional manual inspection, inventory and expiry date verification were inefficient and produced inaccurate data. In emergency situations, staff had to search floor by floor for emergency equipment, causing critical delays in response times.
Protective supplies and emergency medications have strict expiry date requirements, and manual checks often result in missed expirations. This vulnerability was particularly evident during public health emergencies such as the COVID-19 pandemic, where unclear inventory status and delayed emergency responses occurred. Additionally, unauthorized equipment relocation could not be detected in real time, making it difficult for the existing maintenance team to achieve regular and refined management of all assets across the entire park.
Solution
To achieve more consistent and refined asset control, the park adopted a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)-based IoT solution. BLE asset tracking tags were deployed on every fixed security asset including fire extinguishers, fire hydrants and emergency first aid kits. These compact, flexible tags support both adhesive backing and keyhole mounting, adapting to various fire equipment designs without requiring modifications to existing facilities.

Bluetooth gateways were strategically installed in key locations such as floor corridors, functional areas and entrances/exits. These gateways continuously collect Bluetooth signals from nearby tracking tags and transmit real-time location and status data to the park’s asset management cloud platform via the internal network, fully complying with the park’s network security policies.
After system deployment, managers can visually view the real-time locations of all security assets through a central monitoring dashboard or mobile management terminals. In emergency scenarios, target equipment can be instantly retrieved and optimal routes planned, significantly reducing response times. With automated inventory capabilities, the platform reads tag data across the entire park in batches, quickly completing comprehensive equipment inventories and generating standardized reports, eliminating manual errors and omissions. The system also features built-in expiry date monitoring and geofencing modules, automatically sending replacement reminders for expiring supplies and triggering real-time alerts for unauthorized equipment movement, enabling full-lifecycle closed-loop management of security assets.
Key Product
FSC-BP103C is a cost-effective triangular Bluetooth 5.1 Low Energy asset management beacon tag designed for asset tracking and indoor positioning applications. With its core advantages of small size, ultra-long battery life, wide coverage and easy deployment, it is perfectly suited for tracking fixed assets such as park fire and security equipment and emergency supplies. Balancing cost, performance and practicality, it is the ideal choice for digital transformation of security asset management in smart parks.
