What is Bluetooth Mesh?

Bluetooth Mesh is a computer mesh networking standard based on Bluetooth Low Energy that allows for many-to-many communication over Bluetooth radio.

What’s the relation and difference between BLE and Mesh?

Bluetooth Mesh is not a wireless communication technology, but a network technology. Bluetooth Mesh networks rely on Bluetooth Low Energy, it’s an extension of Bluetooth Low Energy specification.

The Bluetooth Low Energy device can be set to broadcast mode and work in a connectionless manner. The data broadcast by it can be received by any other Bluetooth host device within the broadcast range. This is a "one-to-many" (1: N) topology, where N can be a very large quantity! If the device receiving the broadcast itself does not perform data transmission, the radio spectrum of the broadcast device is only for itself, and there is no clear limit to the number of other devices that can receive and use its broadcasts. Bluetooth Beacon is a good example of Bluetooth broadcasting.

Feasycom BLE Mesh Solution | FSC-BT681

Using the latest Bluetooth 5.0 low-power technology, backward compatible with Bluetooth 4.2 / 4.0, supporting the official Bluetooth (SIG) standard MESH protocol, embedding BT681 into devices that need to be networked, users can connect to any device in the network through the mobile app, compared with the control through the gateway, Low latency. In addition, FSC-BT681 has the characteristics of low cost and high performance, and supports most of the Bluetooth devices on the market, which will be easier for developers to develop.
