Bluetooth Vs RFID VS NFC

Table of Contents

Today we introduce three common wireless technologies for short-range communication:

1. Bluetooth

Bluetooth technology is an open global specification for wireless data and audio communication, it’s a low cost close-range wireless connection technology for fixed and mobile devices.

Bluetooth can exchange information wirelessly between many devices including mobile phones, PDAs, wireless headsets, notebook computers, and related peripherals. The use of "Bluetooth" technology can effectively simplify the communication between mobile communication terminal devices, and can also successfully simplify the communication between the device and the Internet, so that data transmission becomes more rapid and efficient, and broadens the way for wireless communication.

Bluetooth technology’s advantages are low power consumption, low cost, high data rate, etc. Feasycom provide Bluetooth Low Energy solution for customer, include BLE 5.1/BLE 5.0/ BLE 4.2 modules, to makes data transmission more rapid and efficient.

2. RFID

RFID is the abbreviation of Radio Frequency Identification. The principle is to carry out non-contact data communication between the reader and the tag to achieve the purpose of identifying the target.

The application of RFID is very extensive. Typical applications include animal chips, car chip anti-theft devices, access control, parking lot control, production line automation, and material management. The complete RFID system is composed of three parts: reader, electronic tag and data management system.

3. NFC

NFC is developed on the basis of non-contact radio frequency identification (RFID) technology and wireless interconnection technology. It provides a very safe and fast communication method for various electronic products that are more and more popular in our daily life.
