Nowadays Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are two of the most popular wireless technologies in use. Almost every home and business uses Wi-Fi as a means of connecting users to their local network or Internet access. Bluetooth is used in a wide variety of low-power devices, from hands-free headphones to wireless speakers, smart devices, printers, and more. Wi-Fi is for high-speed communications over local area networks, while Bluetooth is for portable devices. They are often complementary technologies, and many modules come with both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth combo features.

Currently, Feasycom has a module FSC-BW236 that combines both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. For designs that require both communication technologies, this compact space-saving module measures just 13mm x 26.9mm x 2.0 mm and integrates the RF transceivers, supports BLE 5.0 and WLAN 802.11 a/b/g/n. Customer can transfer data via UART, I2C, and SPI interface, FSC-BW236 supports Bluetooth GATT and ATT profiles and Wi-Fi TCP, UDP, HTTP, HTTPS, and MQTT protocols, the Wi-Fi maximum data rate can up to 150Mbps in 802.11n, 54Mbps in 802.11g and 802.11a, it supports to install an external antenna to increase wireless coverage.

Recently, the RTL8720DN Chip BLE 5 & Wi-Fi Combo Module FSC-BW236 passed FCC, CE and IC testing, and got the certificates. Customer could use it for Bluetooth printer, security device, tracking and so on.
